Community Bible Study

San Marcos EVE TX

Come see what happens in people’s lives when they discover God through the study of His Word, the Bible. Our classes meet weekly during the school year. Each class participant receives a course book with commentary and home study questions. Each week, you’ll participate in small group discussions and a large group teaching. Regularly scheduled fellowship meals provide special times for sharing and relationship building within the class.

Currently Studying: Psalms

The book of Psalms has served as the hymnbook and prayerbook of God's people from ancient times and on into the present. Known as the Psalter, this collection of Holy Spirit-inspired poetry captures the highs and lows of life. The Psalms are powerful prayers, guiding us into honest communication with God. They validate our doubts, passions, fears, and longings and show us how to draw near to God in our struggles. This Bible study organizes the Psalms thematically, making it easier to grasp their main ideas and apply them to your own conversations with God.

MINISTRIES

Next Gen Ministry

Through a variety of activities such as Bible teaching, Scripture memory work, crafts, music, games and other activities, we seek to provide a nurturing environment where children can learn about Jesus' wonderful love for them. The NextGen ministry uses age-appropriate lessons that match the lessons of the adult classes. The ministry includes resources to encourage and assist parents in the spiritual leadership of their families. Caring teachers encourage, pray for, and support each participant's journey with God. We welcome your children to experience the love of Jesus through the loving servants in our CBS NextGen ministry.

Ethnos

If you’re learning to speak English as a second language, then our CBS core group in Spanish – "Ethnos" – might be just perfect for you! Our cities, neighborhoods, schools and communities of Central Texas are multicultural, and it’s our desire to bring the life-transforming benefits of an in-depth Bible study to people whose first language is not English. Lesson books and small group discussion will be in Spanish and will correspond with the class's curriculum in English. _____________
